With deep pain and heartache, we announce the passing of Cynthy J Wood of Moundsville, WV on June 26, 2024. Cynthy was born on April 23, 1953, in Glendale, WV. As a fine restaurant cook, she crafted menus for the renowned Eric's Steakhouse and its successor Harvey's 1818, of Wheeling, WV. She was famous for her french fries and gravy served at Mitchell's restaurant in Moundsville, WV. An avid reader and published author, Cynthy proudly worked with best-selling novelist Anne Rice authoring the graphic novel adaptation of "Interview with the Vampire" and co-author of the "Legends of the Stargrazers" comic book series. Cynthy's life was full of unique experiences from being a fine dining cook to a humble author to a character voice actor for radio commercials in Wheeling in the 1980s. She loved her family and spent her last days playing video games, watching John Wick movies, and her favorite, drinking coffee, even though she did switch to decaf.
