R. Laverne Stump, 84 of Powhatan Point, Ohio died Monday, June 10, 2024 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia.
He was born May 4, 1940, a son of the late Alvin and Goldie (Homan) Stump in Powhatan Point, Ohio.
Laverne was a highly skilled self-employed carpenter. He was sincerely respected and liked by all who met him.
Laverne was preceded in death by his parents, brother Richard Stump, sisters Doris Chase, and Barbara Jean Kanzig.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews who will dearly miss him.
Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Home 186 Main St. Powhatan Point, Ohio on Saturday, July 6, 2024 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. Burial to follow at Powhatan Cemetery with graveside services by Life Celebrant George "Jeep" Naum.
