Robert Scarfpin, Sr. Obituary
Robert L. Scarfpin Sr., 84 of Martins Ferry passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, July 5, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born April 28, 1940, in Martins Ferry the son of the late Earl and Maude (Jeffers) Scarfpin.
Robert retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel as a Master Electrician and served as the president of the Labors Union for the Benwood plant. He worked at several places which made him the man he was today, Hoge-Davis Drug Co., Nickles Bakery, General Dynamics, Union Baker, Mitchel Plant, Martins Ferry Municipal Light Plant, just to name a few. He and his wife were active bowlers at the Park Legion Lanes and was a member of the Vigilant Fire Department.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, D. Carole (Palmer) Scarfpin in 2014, brothers, Willis, Earl, Frank, James, and Richard Scarfpin, sisters, Carolyn Bennett, and Gloria Magruder and Thelma Eicholtz.
