David Lee Walters, 74, of Powhatan Point, succumbed to his battle with cancer on March 9, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David C. and Charlotte E. Walters, his brother, Thomas E. Walters, his father and mother in-law, Earl E. and Virginia Dierkes, and his sister-in-law, Mary E. Dierkes of Powhatan Pt, OH. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Rita J. Dierkes Walters, his sons Brent A. (Jodi) Walters of Glenville, WV, and Eugene D. Walters (Justin Lavy) of Columbus, OH., two grandchildren: Jack C. Walters, of Monroe, LA and Mary-Charlotte Walters of Dubach, LA. Dave is survived by his brother, Charles J. Walters of Adena, OH, his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Tom and Sally Hotlosz of Powhatan Point, OH, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, E. David (Nancy) Dierkes, Belmont, OH.
