Cecil "Nick" Michael Nicola, born on April 24, 1950, in Fairmont, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2025, in Bellaire, Ohio, at the age of 74.
Nick dedicated 42 years of his life to Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel, where he worked as a crane operator. His commitment and work ethic left a lasting impression on his colleagues and friends. Beyond his professional life, Nick was a passionate sports enthusiast. He shared his love for sports through coaching at St. John's, inspiring many young athletes with his knowledge.
Nick was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Cecil and Joreen Nicola, and his brother-in-law, Stephen Kosky. He is survived by his devoted wife, Gail Nicola, and their children: Luke (Stephanie) Kopyar, Mick Nicola, and Erin (Michael) Nicola-Hepburn. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Leo Kopyar, Journey Jo Nicola, Mia Mae, Silas, Faye, and Veda Hepburn.
Nick is also survived by his brother, Ron Nicola, and sister, Sharlene (Dean) Conaway,
